Standing your Ground in a Busy Job Market

As more and more people go to college and earn university degrees, competition for jobs is higher than ever before. However, don’t let this intimidate you. If you are a good candidate for a job, make sure your potential future employer knows this. Stand your ground, stand up for yourself and show them what you have got.

If a job sounds interesting to you, then don’t ever be afraid of applying for it. This is especially true if a recruitment agency is recruiting on behalf of the client, as this then means they have your CV. If they don’t think you are suitable for that role but have others that would be ideal, they can put you forward for those roles instead. You could also try speaking to the recruiter directly – this will help you become more memorable to them and you will become known as a proactive and enthusiastic candidate.
